This can be seen from the results of products in the form of food and beverages that have been recognized and are often included in exhibitions at every MSME activity event, one of which is now viral and prominent is the Product from Cikadu Village UMKM in the form of Gedebong Banana Chips whose basic ingredients are from banana tree trunk.
This product was presented at the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Region 10 Development Team for the Sukabumi Regency PKK Program at the Palabuanratu District Office, Thursday (8 June 2023).
When met by the media crew after the event was over, the Head of Cikadu Village, Neng Elva Yulianti said, Alhamdulillah, for Cikadu Village, the superior product is banana grandma chips because the raw material comes from banana stems or bigbongs.
"Thank God, because of the cooperation of PKK women, so that we from Cikadu Village have the product Gedebong Banana Chips, which thank God yesterday there were orders from foreign countries, especially Japan," said Elva.
Neng Elva also explained that coincidentally Cikadu village has 15 MSME groups, each of which has a flagship product to be contested again later.
"To the mothers of the MSME group, continue to innovate to create products that will astonish the public, such as the creative results of PKK mothers making these gedebong banana chips, progressing, UMKM has succeeded in bringing prosperity," he said.
The Palabuhanratu District Secretary (Sekmat), Dra.Latipah also appreciated the products from the Cikadu Village MSME results.
"This taste is very crunchy and Mak nyos dech, my first experience was being able to taste the banana gedebong chips. At first, I thought the raw material was not made from banana gedebong. It turns out that after knowing that this is made from natural ingredients, namely banana stems or banana gedebong, I was amazed. This is extraordinary, isn't it? "Salute to Cikadu Village MSMEs," explained the Secretary of the Palabuhanratu Sub-district.
God willing, the products will soon enter foreign countries, according to the Sekmat, because according to such information. We hope that SMEs will continue to innovate to create delicious and unique products like these banana gedebong chips.
"In terms of licensing, we are ready to facilitate it and hopefully in the future more creative and innovative products will emerge from MSMEs, especially from Palabuanratu District," he said.
In line with the Secretary of the Palabuhanratu Secretariat, Head of UPT Semi Modern Market Palabuanratu Uus Heryanto also commented on the same thing, Uus said, "We really support and appreciate the progress of MSMEs -MSMEs, especially those in Palabuhanratu District, including the existence of superior products, namely chips made from big banana bananas which are reportedly will be promoted overseas.
